Section 1 and the ground in this section is mainly grass and path. However there are a lot of trees so there is quite a lot of old fallen leaves especially close to the boundary wall. Tree roots are also visible as well as a small metal lid to something! There are 4 pieces of litter, a dog poo bin, 2 feathers and a blackbird. Also lots of small twigs. It is a sunny day.
I was at the far end of the park as you can see on the chart and it is a sunny Sunday so quite busy. This first corner has quite a few trees so the panoramic view is more challenging. There is a corner entrance here so there were a few people coming in and out, mainly dog walkers but a few interesting ones. Obviously most are regulars and they and their dogs seem to like saying hello to one another, but some were people we had never seen. An Arabian Princess, dressed in a long purple robe and followed by one woman and a man, also dressed in long purple robes, walking in procession around the park, including through this section. I wonder their story as they are dressed and walk in a way you don’t normally see here. Are they royal? I am sure. Why are they here? Maybe in hiding for some reason, after all who would look in this park? Another woman walk through, elderly with her head down talking to herself. Was she a engineer in her younger days, with a husband (now dead) and 2 children who do visit but haven’t done for a while (due to COVID). She misses her grandchildren.
Lots of people are sitting on the grass and benches, looking round. Teenage girls playing Amy Winehouse. Middle aged couple snogging on a bench (they’ve just met on an internet dating site). Kids playing and Chloe of course on her scooter. So many to see from here.
